Event Info

Animal Rights Day, jointly sponsored by the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, is designed to address the social injustice associated with the treatment of non-human animals by humans as well as the personal health and environmental implications of meat-based diets.  Information will focus on the cruelty suffered by animals used for food, clothing, in laboratories, and in the entertainment industry. A central theme of the day will highlight the health and environmental benefits of a vegan/vegetarian diet for people and the planet.

Armed with this information, attendees will be empowered to make informed choices about their attitudes and behaviours towards animals; what they eat, what they wear, and what entertainment choices they make.

& Much More!
